Shikhar is a dispute resolution associate with experience across commercial litigation, arbitration, and insolvency. He regularly appears before the Delhi High Court and tribunals, and handles high value commercial disputes, arbitrations, and IBC proceedings, with extensive exposure to briefing Senior Advocates and managing matters end to end, spanning domestic and international arbitration, insolvency and bankruptcy, EPC and infrastructure disputes, and contractual and commercial disputes generally.
Shikhar is an active member of the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration as a Young Member and the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration as a Member, where he engages with peers to stay current on developments in domestic and international arbitration. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the LCIA Young International Arbitration Group. He holds a BBA LLB Hons from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (2023), and has been enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2023.
His experience includes representing clients in arbitration proceedings arising from EPC contracts involving disputes valued upwards of INR 150 crores, assisting with dispute strategy, claim structuring, and evidentiary preparation. He advised a financial creditor in a Section 95 petition under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code against the chairman of one of India's largest business groups, culminating in the guarantor's admission into insolvency before the NCLT, and has supported corporate insolvency matters under Section 7 before the NCLT and allied forums. He has drafted and argued pleadings and applications, including petitions under Sections 34 and 37 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, securing time sensitive relief for clients in contentious commercial matters, and has briefed and coordinated with Senior Advocates on high value matters before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and various arbitral tribunals.
