A founding member of Aikyam, Namrata is a Dual-qualified lawyer with over seven years of experience. She began her career in corporate law at a leading Indian law firm before transitioning to disputes and investigations, driven by a high stakes London seated ICC arbitration that ran nearly five years across three phases. She now advises on commercial disputes, leveraging her corporate background, with experience in contractual claims, shareholder and joint venture disputes, ICC and SIAC proceedings, HR matters, and regulatory investigations, including foreign exchange and anti-corruption matters.

On disputes, Namrata is advising on a high value shareholder dispute over hotel assets in the UK and Thailand, is acting for the manager of an Indian REIT in an arbitration over pre-emptive rights seated in Mumbai, and acted for a major Middle East real estate group in an ICC arbitration in London against former joint venture partners, with claims and counterclaims exceeding USD 1 billion.

On investigations, Namrata led an inquiry into alleged bribery involving government officials at the Indian subsidiary of an American listed entity, and a separate inquiry into whistleblower complaints of improper payments by the Indian subsidiary of a Japanese company to government officials.

On transactions, Namrata acted for Al Ansari Financial Services as India counsel on its 2024 acquisition of Bahrain Financing Company for USD 200 million, acted for Lupin Limited on its acquisition of three hundred forty three brands from Anglo French Drugs & Industries Limited, and acted for the Government of India, through DIPAM, on its strategic sale of a 52.63 percent stake in Rural Electrification Corporation to Power Finance Corporation for USD 2.1 billion.
